Last month the Queensland Police Service hosted The Australasian Police and Emergency Service games on the Sunshine Coast. These games were founded with the intention of bringing Police Service personnel together under the banner of sport and the spirit of friendly competition. The games have been running for 32 years and are conducted over 8 days, and, with 52 sports on offer there is a huge variety to choose from including equestrian, half marathon, bowling, darts, cycling, boxing, golf and shooting.

Eligible agencies include polices and other Government agencies with a law enforcement role or investigative function; fire service, ambulance, Surf Life Saving Australia and other voluntary emergency services both . Eligible competitors are full time and part time employees, or retired personnel from Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Islands.

Australian Munitions provided a range of prizes for the winners and participants of the target rifle Full Bore and Small Bore shooting events. These included the latest 2016 ADI World Class Handloaders’ Guide, ADI stubby holders and ADI caps.

Congratulations to all of the winners and to the Queensland Police Service who ran such a successful event. We look forward to being involved again at the next games in Western Australia.
